Cake with cherry filling
This year Easter is celebrated in a different way, but it should not fail to be celebrated with something sweet and delicious.
Our suggestion for this Easter is a cake with a more elaborate and festive look, but very simple to make and with few ingredients. And it's so, so delicious...
Here's the recipe.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 pack of Fidu Traditional Cake Preparation 500g
- 60ml of vegetable oil
- 340ml of water
- 1 jar of unsweetened cherry compote (or other flavor of your choice)
- powdered sugar q.s.
PREPARATION:
1. Preheat the oven to 170ºC.
2. Pour the contents of the package into a bowl and add 60ml of vegetable oil. Stir until you get a sandy-looking mixture.
3. Add 340ml of water. Mix with a wire whisk or electric mixer, until obtaining a homogeneous cream with air bubbles.
4. Divide the dough into two equal pans previously greased or lined with parchment paper pans. (You can also use just one pan and bake half the dough at a time.)
5. Bake for about 15 minutes (cooking time may vary depending on the type and size of the pan and the type of oven used). Check that the cake is cooked with the help of a toothpick.
6. Remove from the oven and unmold after a few minutes. Let cool on a rack.
7. Spread one of the cakes with the jam and cover with the other cake.
8. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and decorate the center of the cake with a little jam.
We used commercial jam without added sugar in this recipe, but if you prefer, you can use homemade jam.
